I. forum rules.
i. Respect. All members, whether staff or new, deserve respect. in-fighting will not be tolerated, nor will passive aggressiveness. Do not flame or insult without cause. Actually, no, don't flame or insult at all. Any reports the administration receives regarding abuse will get the offender an automatic warning, or a ban, depending on the severity of the breach.
ii. Angst. It is tolerable a lot of the time. Some of our members here are skilled enough to be able to block out any bitching or complaining and nod at the appropriate places. Listen kiddies, the internet isn't the place for you to share your 'OH GOD I HAET MY LIFE.' Perhaps a shrink? We may be curious, but we'd rather not get involved.
iii. Maturity. This is a mature board, meaning; Yes, innuendo threads are allowed. Violence and gore is allowed. It's all a part of daily life. By joining this forum, you've agreed that you completely understand you may walk in on one of these threads and not go haywire. However, all members must mark their threads with an 'm' if they become mature. Sex is a tad too graphic however. Take it to the PMs if you wish to go that far. The class 'maturity' also refers to the characteristic. Please, we're not two-years olds. And you know exactly what I mean.
iv. Security. Make sure you have all your posts saved, your bios saved, your images saved and marked with a hard to remove copyright. I suggest writing a post in word before you post it up; that way we don't have to hear you complain. Security is a must, online and irl. Double check that your password is strong and hard to guess. A very stupid idea would be having 'inuyasha' as your password when your username is 'inufangirl432'. Get the picture? Good.
v. Slander. This really should have been covered in the 'respect' field, but I'll go over it once again. Any racial, religious or sexist comment will not be tolerated here. Of course, we can all take a few lighthearted jokes, but anything further than than and we'll ban your offensive ass, capeesh? This also includes any images, posts or otherwise prejudiced content.
vi. Plagiarism. Why am I even writing this? Oh yes, for those dense people out there without a clue. I swear, any form of stealing on this site will be punished. Badly. You'll be fed to the cannibal elephant, spat out the other end and punched in the face by me. And all that's before you get banned and possibly reported to Proboards. Your brain is there for a reason. Use it, or request a more brilliant mind.
vii. Spam. Is tasty. Ok I've never tasted it, but meat is tasty. The other form however, is for idiotic nerds who have no better way to spend their life. 'Wowgold' or any of that sort of shit will give any of our members permission to abuse the poster before an admin finds it and deletes it. Okay, so that's a little hypocritical, but that's where it gets you. Dudes, seriously. That was a joke. Any members must reports spam or any rule breaching to administration.
viii. Chatspeak. Wat? Wat wer u sayin? Sorry, ur just so hrd to undrstnd!!!!1!! Yeah. Completely prohibited in all areas of the forum. Well of course 'lol' and 'bamf' and such are allowed, since they have good meanings, but even a single 'u' instead of 'you' or a symbol instead of a word irritates me. Quit it or leave.
ix. Accounts & registering. All members have one account and one account only with whatever name they desire. No excuses. However, it would be helpful to have a list of your characters somewhere they can be seen. When you register, please edit your name so that it is ALL CAPS.
x. Images. Ever have that time where you click on someone's profile and a huge avatar comes up with two people having buttsecks? Yeah, not very pretty. There's an avatar size limit of 100x200. No more than that. Mature content is allowed only through writing. We don't want this place to be a fucking porn fest. Signatures have a maximum width of 550 pixels and a maximum height of 300 pixels. Anything over that just looks idiotic and sloppy, sorry guys.
xi. T.O.S Because this site is hosted by Proboards, we are all automatically under the oath that we will not violate its terms of service. Doing that would get our site deleted, and we've all spent too much on that. Read up on them and get your facts straight. Here.

II. Cbox rules.
i. All of the above rules also apply to a member's behavior on the cbox. Don't forget, the staff have the banhammer and aren't afraid to use it.
ii. Appropriate conversation at all times, people. Okay, so we'll be lenient on this one. We're all, basically, just horny teenagers here. Sometimes we need to let it out. Continuing to talk inappropriately even when the subject is dropped will get you into trouble, however.
iii. Mod-begging. Ooohhhh, do you know how irritating that is? Especially when you're abused by a member who thinks they know it all. Listen, any of this; "PLEASE. My profile is done, will you look at it?!?!?!!!" every five seconds will not be tolerated. Put yourself in our position. Even if it doesn't look like it, the staff are always busy. They'll get to it when they can.
iv. You want to make yourself look like a man-whore? A racist? Fine, go ahead. But we'll ban your ass. And if it goes further, we'll ban you from the forum too. Any indecent innuendo in the cbox isn't tolerated, you hear? Don't make your name super long or have bewbies in your avatar.
v. No advertising. At all. We all understand what it's like to have some guest come on and repeatedly post their forum over and over, but any of it from members and you'll be warned. Begging people to join your site, through the c-box or through PM is not allowed. At all. Please, just... No.
vi. No IC in the C-box. C-box means Chatbox, people, ok? c: An IC-Box will be introduced if you're all on good behavior. Not all Inuyasha characters are exactly friendly toward others, and we want to be friendly towards the guests. Of course, stuff like '-slasps Avy- >U' is permitted. You'll get the hang of it sometime.
vii. Cookies. Good behavior will get you one. c:

III. Roleplaying Rules
i. We are a literate site. This means that any posts under 200 words will not be tolerated. Don't complain, that's not too bad. I know people who are able to throw up a 700 words post without much effort. We're not trying to pressure you, we're just trying to help you improve.
ii. Any tense is allowed, really, just as long as it doesn't confuse the other roleplayer too much. Although the most common to use is third person and past tense, perhaps that will help.
iii. Liquid time? Well, sure. Just don't overdo it. For now, we'll have a maximum of three threads your character is able to join at the same time. You can't be everywhere at once, you know. Even bamfs like us can only bend the space-time continuum a little bit.
iv. The following are prohibited in any post unless you've gotten express permission from your roleplaying partner. Godmoding;; This? This is where you're god. Nothing else matters. You steal all the attention, manage to stand up after being blown to pieces and have an everlasting supply of energy. Sure, your character may be skilled, but we're still bloody human (or, in some cases, demon.). Any character godmoding will be subject to horrendous torture. This also includes your character being able to dodge any move easily. We don't all have awesome reflexes, you included. Autohitting;; Oh, you can completely disregard the other person's posts or wants and just automatically hit their character, even if they have better skill than you. Even if they dodge the attack, they still get hit. However, there's a very fine line between autohitting and godmoding. If you're opponent refuses to get hit, then they can be reported. Powerplaying;; In roleplay, there's different parts of the story, depending on the different characters. It's completely impossible to play it all yourself. No, you cannot make their character do something. If you want to do a simple thing like picking them up, then you have to get permission, since not all characters like to be touched.
v. So, by reading above I'm sure you all know that we are an M Rated site. However, if you are planning to have an M rated thread, there are a few precautions you must take to prevent having it deleted. As well as having a clear 'M' for mature in your title, your first post must also contain a thorough warning.
vi. Keep in character, please. If you have a character prone to temper tantrums, do you think (s)he will take insults all that well? If you have a shy character, (s)he will hate being the center of attention. That's the reason you wrote personality, people. Stick to it.
vii. Although this isn't totally needed, try to have a link to your character's bio in your post(s). That way, people will be able to read it easily and determine whether or not it could turn out to be a good roleplay.
viii. Please, no super bright colors. You're allowed to use color in any of your posts of course, but tone it down a little in saturation so it isn't so blinding. Here is a great place to find good colors and their names.
ix. Purely OOC posts in an IC thread is forbidden. If you wish to say something, just provide an extra commentary field.

Congratulations, yo. You've made it to the end of this torture. For your effort, the password for character creation is 'essence'. Good luck in creating your character~!
